Disclaimer I know virtually NOTHING about the comic books. I am aware that they are a tangled mess because of alternate universe stuff. I only read a sparing amount of comic books. That said, I do know of the basics of the Marvel characters before the movies were ever a thing, and know that Victor Von Doom is the villain to the Fantastic Four (which imo all of their movies were just blah). I really liked RDJ's Iron Man, and do not understand this move, nor do I think it's a good idea. Sure he's a great actor. There could not have been a better guy to play Iron Man/Tony Stark. I just don't think I'd be able to watch any further Marvel movies with him as somebody else, especially a known bad guy.

The best part about getting RDJ for this is that he can also play the role of Kang

Oh goody this means we’re in for YET ANOTHER terrible Fantastic 4 movie. Still, I’ve always wanted a good Silver Surfer movie.

I don't like it. Destroying the Canon of an entire brand, and the nerds that should know better, cheering it on. Dr. Doom has straddled the anti-hero line... he was canonically Iron Man in Infamous Iron Man... but Victor. Now Victor, so they say... in the same arc where RDJ played his rival. Not his chief rival, that was Mr. Fantastic. The rumor was, and what I wanted was a Fantastic 4 reboot, that killed the entire team in the 1st movie introducing Dr. Doom... and solving the issue of making the Fantastic 4 relevant in the modern era of Marvel... kill them off. I'm biased. I know we talked about it, Dr. Doom is one of my favorite villians in all media. If they got Daniel Day Lewis! That's who they should have gotten. When they started with, "The greatest actor in the world". I was like they did it, they got the best dude to play one of the greatest villians of all time. We'll see how it goes. I think Victor deserves his own thing, not the next chapter in the Avengers... But that's just my opinion. To me this is worse than a black samurai.
