You just gonna forget how we had years of dry spells and balance patches playing d1? Yea d1 sound nice but don’t act like that game was/is flawless, it’s just as bad if not worst then how they take care of d2.

Content droughts > tiring seasonal content People need to be comfortable not having constant content to consume and take breaks

I agree with this 100%. In D1 I took minor breaks during content droughts. In D2 I take prolonged breaks because of how bad the content actually is lol.

Having tiring seasonal content is better than absolutely nothing. When d1 dlcs came out, you had everything at launch that Lasted not even a month & the only thing keeping players from coming back was trials and iron banner. Let’s also not forget how poorly pvp was balanced so those 2 things were painful to grind by the time rise of iron came out.

D2 is a mess, its dressed up as the proverbial, dogs dinner. D1 has atmosphere, d2 has the sky avenger tribe. That pretty much did it for me
