This is why the Witness had so many obstacles in place to prevent us from finding a way to follow it. The Witness was also engaged in a power struggle with the Traveler. We see that at the start of the campaign. Meanwhile, Guardians discover Transcendance and Pale Blessings and basically become god's while within. Throughout the entire campaign the Traveler was using its power to protect us, sending us weapons, the light aegis and eventually, the Light equivalent of the first knife that could destroy consciousness. There's a reason it was trying to bribe and win us over in the second to last mission. It knew it was vulnerable due to the Traveler manifesting the ritual site where it was made. The Witness being weaker is also how the Veiled Statues were finally able to speak to us. In the physical world, the Witness was untouchable and that's why i think the Traveler didn't run and gave it the vision of the Veil to lure the Witness inside.

Glad we are in agreement

  • You just described the plot circumstances that prevented the Witness from killing our guardian and winning. Therefore....
Plot armor
• Plot armor is when a character accomplishes an unlikely feat with no help or interference. The Light is stronger within the Traveler and due to being anchored to the Monolith and fighting its influence the Witness was divided. This is why the Veil Statues could finally talk to us. We literally see the Traveler resisting the Witness and stopping the Final Shape in the opening cutscene of the campaign but if you want to believe that's plot armor then sure. No point in continuing this honestly.

  • That's not what plot armor is! It's literally in the name!

  • Man if you don't think we only won because of plot armor then you must be smokin some good stuff and I want some. Next you're going to be telling me you actually think Saint and Osiris's relationship is well written.

^Dude basically wants my autograph at this point. Offa deez, dude. You could have replied to me on the topic there or private messaged me since you seem hurt about something i said and trying to get a rise out of me. You're not even good at what you do. Blocked and dismissed. I don't entertain unhealthy obsessions. Run along crayola boy.
