Im taking a break from Destiny 2

First and foremost, I am not quitting the game (at least not yet), I just want to share my experience as an invested player and why I feel the need to take a break from the game. First and foremost, I'm going to be very direct I am a Titan player. I love punching things, I love eating crayola (lime is a guilty pleasure), and I love to wear two tons of steel plate armor. Titan is the class that enjoy playing the most and Identify with. A lot of the reasons I have for taking a break are related to the recent performance issues of titans in both PvE/PvP (I play on PC for context). I don't want to beat an already dead horse, so I will spare regurgitating most sentiments on the overall performance of titans in the current endgame meta. If you want to understand a little bit more about what I am going on about here are a couple of links to some sources that go into detail about various issues with titans. https://youtu.be/OB2mMwUXC8U?si=0nkcsRNFGSmuEiGi -Aztecross https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqVyZAi-mxk -TDT https://youtu.be/RFZUHQVHp-Y?si=_-r-yobk9R99HDQd -ShadowNinja https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NB51foQAKA -Datto (Destroyer of Vaults) Jk ;p As someone -blam!- just wants to play the class they prefer, it feels really bad looking at all the cool builds on other classes and only having a few strong ones that dont even really compare. It takes almost everything down to specific weapons, armor mods, and aspects/fragments to even get to the level other prismatic classes are at (which take less setup). Titan right now feels like playing a class without a purpose. Moving towards the topic of PvP, Im not going to blame hunter spam, Im not going to blame healing rifts, and I am not going to blame anything related to meta choices. It is what it is. I just feel the need to express my dissatisfaction with Titans in PvP right now. One of the many frustrations I have had playing this class in any competitive lobby like trials and competitive is the severe lack of meaningful utility and movement. In trials specifically I could not help but notice that the most effective way to gain an advantage is to beat the opponent to better angles via dashing, skating, and grappling. It makes it hard to play with my team for initial picks when they are a full 4s ahead of me. I'm not sure what bungie can do to fix this, but it definitely is a pain point I have noticed. The last pain-point I wanted to mention was melee consistency specifically on PC. For some reason on PC, it feels like melees don't work properly. Melees consistently manage to miss and whiff targets even when clearly in range. When using a controller it feels like both crosshair friction and melee lung play a vital role into making the punch land. I cant prove it, but I think this may be the reason we whiff so much. I wish bungie would take issues like this more seriously considering there is an entire class in the game that relys on this mechanic. Everyone regardless of class would love for their melees to work consistently. If you bothered to read all this I appreciate the fact that you at least did read and listen I understand that many people may have varying opinions and that alright, everyone is entitled to one. I just wanted to share my experiences and thoughts on how the current state of the game as well as well as some of the things that I feel take a toll on how much I enjoy the game currently. Ya'll have a great evening. Sincerely, your local crayola consumer
