I would like to see the next Destiny game be a prequel. Start with the collapse and build toward founding the last city. Classes would be looser and you would see them emerge as you play. Invest in mobility and stealth and your supers become prototype versions of Hunter. Invest in strength and stamina. Your supers become early versions of Titan. Invest in healing and intellect, your supers become early versions of Warlock supers. All players could access all supers, but your ability to wield them and do massive damage with them would depend on your investment, similar to D1 only with all classes open to every character since classes haven't really developed yet. There are no guardians. There are only the risen, some of whom will be warlords, and some will become Iron Lords.

  • Thanks, although I do need to credit Bungie as well. Everything I listed is their lore I'd like to see. Its also moving more towards being an MMORPG which is closer to their original vision. This is just a quick outline, but I'd love to see them take the idea and flesh it out. .... The text you mentioned is my bio. You can add one to your profile too. • If by that you mean playing more into the RPG aspects, sure. However Destiny is a shooter and at its more, must revolve around the gunplay Bungie is known for. I'd like to see a skill web where you can go towards the D1 classes and then branch off into the subclasses. This way building toward "Striker Titan" makes it easier to invest in "Bubble Titan." Early investment wouldn't get you to super, build would give abilities closer to the Hunter's wombo combo from D1. As for the supers themselves, they would be more powerful but less refined than the D1 supers. This is due to light bearers still learning how to control their powers. An example would be Golden Gun. The lore talks about Anna Bray's GG leaving pools of light that lasted for decades. Why not play into this? GG, and other one and done supers, would hit for big damage and leave an AOE. However the trade off would be a huge drain in your light that results in none of your abilities beginning to recharge while the AOE is active and the super having a longer charge time. This also allows Bungie to easily offer more refined supers that are closer to their D1 counterparts in expansions. That would make sense in the story. Your hunter has more control over their light and now can do three controlled GGs that don't drain as much light and recharge faster.

  • Thanks. This is of course just a rough outline. Other supers and abilities would have to be looked at and balanced. The story would see your light bearer traveling with other survivors while witnessing and taking part in major Destiny lore events. Explore and gather Bray Technology to unlock engrams. Fight off early arrivals of Fallen and Hive. Witness the Vex as they move in and out of the timeline. Free human settlements from other risen who have become warlords. Fight the Dredgen. Help lead a group of survivors to a settlement that is the Last City. Build the walls and fight in the Battle of Six Fronts. Witness and take part in the rise of factions. Use FWC tech as an explanation for how we are able to replay missions and strikes. FWC is allowing us to explore alternative timelines to build our strength and learn more about our ultimate enemy, the Vex. The final expansion would lead to the ultimate raid, The Vault of Glass. As we know, the Vex in the Vault can completely remove a guardian from the timeline. Beating the raid would result in the Vex putting your character into a time loop that allows you to replay all activities over and over. This would also explain why we aren't part of D1's lore. We were, but we were erased. . If we get a D4, it would open with an activity similar to the 12 man mission in D2. This would be a new assault on the VoG. You would play as either a new character (Guardian or new class like Fallen), a Legendary Guardian (your D1/D2 character), or a Time Lost Guardian (your character from the prequel.) The mission would have characters from both sides of the timeline breaking the vex code and freeing guardians from the vex network and allowing them to join the fight against the D4 threat.

  • Change healing with Discipline. Healing is only specific to Solarlock and not the other two light subclasses. Arc, outside of the Class ability has no active way to heal themselves, and Devour on void is more akin to a vampiric power (based off D1 and the manner in witch one activates Devour) Solarlock is the only subclass to actively have a manner in which to heal and play support, so when people say that Warlocks are the support class, it honestly makes me roll my eyes. Do you want to know what is consistent across all the subclasses on Warlocks. Grenade spam. Solar via Touch of Flame. Arc via General Ability Spam. Void via Devour. Stasis through Coldsnaps, Iceflare Bolts, and Stasis Turret. Strand via the likes of Mindspun Invocation, and threadling spam.
