I think the question actually goes to Bungie. > Where are you least likely to underdeliver and most likely to innovate, dedicate, commit... Player-base will follow that product with any rollout model

The problem with "innovate" as I see it is that's what the more vocal aspect of the forum community doesn't seem to want, just more of the same. Then they complain about the game being stale and boring but what can you do to satisfy people who don't actually know what they want, only that they aren't getting it?

  • yep you picked up on the word I didn't want to place in there as I knew it was troublesome.. nice job.. but forget those "key words" That is the business. That is business. Your customer doesn't tell you what product to make. They tell you their journey.. their problems.. and yes a lot of nonsense and whining.. TMI.. ..The mentality of.. it couldn't possible be us.. it must be some bad customers.. is ridiculous. Does Bungie hate their customers?? Do they think they are all that??? When you don't have a driving VISION.. proactive.. not just bold.. but made from a "Visionary" in touch with the game and society of the game, players and future possibilities (and products) and trends in the industry (has a dream that can spread like wildfire).. IF you are simply reactionary.. you will be beat the hell up eventually. ...Nothing from this point forward in terms of success of Bungie will come from the players. (Players are just there to enjoy your product). It will come from Bungie being honest with themselves.

Well, until one of 2 things happen, either players recognize that they play the game and not design it or Bungie recognizes that this is their game, some people are going to be pissed no matter what and makes it as they see fit, then we'll continue to get what we've gotten moving forward. Unfortunately, a large portion of the community isn't that keen on not getting everything their way and Bungie seems set on trying to at least placate them so here we are, on a forum rife with complaints about the dumbest possible topics while the important issues in desperate need of attention get buried. Again, simply my opinion and not likely to be a popular one; it hasn't been so far.

  • But thats just people (don't take that personally).. in fact its mighty useful for an online gaming company.. to hear back on the issues out their in the wild as it is difficult to fully test that environment. It also can be healthy to air that out for people.. its part of the purpose of a forum. I assume Bungie has a marketing team sifting through their forum, categorizing, prioritizing issues.. even asking questions.. gathering data. Still - I must emphasize there have been strategic mistakes, balancing issues and bugs.. (this may be in need of acknowledgment right [subconsciously it piles up on the players].. maybe a need for a conversation/town hall.. not sure) we can feel the lack of enough dev teams.. lack of communication teams. There is no Destiny 2 CEO answering the questions and showing us the vision. I honestly think that would help both players and internally for Bungie. Most of all - geez man - don't read every thread! Goosfraba or Hakuna Matata :)
