Being hacked is not a valid excuse for your account violating Bungie’s ToS. You are always responsible for your account’s actions at all times. This is why you should keep your account secure at all times. Bungie do not ban the player, they ban the account. It doesn’t matter if it wasn’t yourself, your account violated Bungie’s terms of service and that’s all that matters. If you haven’t received a reply within 30 working days, then it’s very likely Bungie has considered your ban correctly placed. Bungie never guarantee a response to any ban appeal. For more information on game bans, see http://bungie.net/ban -
So you are telling me that they dont even warn players? People are getting hacked all the time all over the world I have the proof for it and it seems like they are not even looking into it. And a warning for getting hacked should be mandatory.
So you are telling me that they dont even warn players?
Your warning is in all the legal documents you agreed to when you first launched Destiny, Destiny 2, and created a Bungie.net account. Not reading those legal documents but agreeing to them anyway, is the fault of the individual.
people are getting hacked all the time
Only those with very poor security and those who share their accounts. It's 2024, there are numerous methods out there to make it pretty much impossible for anyone to hack your account. There really is no valid excuse for being hacked nowadays. Some examples of good security include: - Physical security keys to log into an account - 2FA via Microsoft authenticator app and Google Authenticator app - 2FA via SMS / automated phone call - Facial recognition requirement to log in - Thumbprint recognition requirement to log in - Very strong passwords which include numerous characters and symbols - Back up email addresses which are also secured - Numerous guides on the internet to account security and to avoid the latest scams - ....and more. Failure to make use of all of those free security tools is the fault of the user. You should make sure you have sufficient security applied and update it regularly.
I have the proof for it
That doesn't matter. The account violated Bungie's policies, not the player. Bungie bans the account, not the player.
And a warning for getting hacked should be mandatory.
Account security is handled by your platform, not game developers. Talk to your platform regarding this. It sounds like your account(s) had very poor security because if someone was attempting to hack your platform account, your platform would have notified you about this (for example, through the authenticator app). -
Edited by who_dares_wins5: 7/16/2024 10:48:22 PMI understand, I have an epic account, steam account and playstation where I play mostly. All of them have 2 step authentication accept the steam account. There is where it went wrong when I got the account back from steam the damage was already done the email was changed and it took 2 days before they responded and I could change the password and set up 2 step authentication. It's a shame if I can't play because of this. I acknowledge the mistake and I hope that bungie excuses me for this. I would never do anything to harm my account or the experience of other players, like my clan members they are not even playing because I can't play. I have a tight group and it's a shame. I really hope bungie can help me. And thank you guys for replying even though I'm banned. Much love ❤️

There is nothing Bungie can do to help you. If you haven't received a reply after 30 working days (Monday - Friday), then there is a very high chance Bungie has considered your ban correctly placed and will not be removed. Once again, being hacked is not a valid excuse for an account violating Bungie's ToS. Nobody on the forums can help you. The appeal is all you have. -
Bungie bans accounts, doesn't matter who was playing when the violation for the ban occurred.

Yes, ban appeal tickets aren't guaranteed a reply and in most cases wont get one unless Bungie need more info from you or the ban got lifted/
