If you want to promote awareness for men's mental health, make a donation on your own; don't wait on Bungie to do something about it.

Who said I don't? We all know the saying about making assumptions.
-
You did. "Why is it that Bungie recognizes every type of awareness month or celebration month, but has no recognition for Men's mental health month in June? No pin, no emblem, not even a mention of it. It's sad that men are the leading percentages of suicide in America and it gets ignored like it does". This is called "false piety". Bungie has a dedicated portal for Mental Health issues... they invest year round. Of all the charity initiatives Bungie promotes... Mental Health is top of the list. Including "Mens" mental health. You're focused on "identity" politics. The irony.
-
I see where your coming from but that statement is ironic in its self because aren't most celebration months or awareness months centered around a single identity or minority? Where men are a part of these cultures? I don't know just seems like if your company can push for these great charities like they do. Then why not create recognition for another awareness/ charity? What would be the harm or reason they dont?

Edited by jhermannITJ: 7/11/2024 8:23:15 PMThey do though, year rnd. You're trying to backtrack. Answer why Men need a dedicated month for Mental Health when they offer resources and support for them year rnd. They don't carve out a month for Women's mental health or LGBTq mental health. The Irony I'm pointing out... is that your "false piety" is an attempt to indite or accuse Bungie of focusing on "identity politics" which is just a scapegoat for people to justify not serving their constituency. Remember, you said, ".... Bungie recognizes every type of awareness month or celebration month...." "Every". Including 'Men' like me. Veterans dominated by male demographics. This month they're focusing on disabilities and helping those to get jobs in tech and game development... which is an "anti-entitlement" platform. This covers "men" with mental health disabilities. Supporting private and community agency to address these issues rather than government subsidy. Anyone who is actually against "identity" politics should support private advocacy of these issues. "Every" as you said. Those are the facts devoid of bias or red pill bs.

I agree with what you are saying and understand, but isn't bungie as a company already doing that? Are that not several races with pride and awareness month that also fall into the LGBQT+ month? So again if your already doing that. What would be the harm for bringing awareness to men's Mental health month?
-
Yes we do, you assume that no one at Bungie cares about men's mental health simply because don't get a silly little pin for it. I tick all of the typical d-bag checklist boxes: straight, white, middle-aged male, and I think your post is nothing more than an attempt to soothe your feelings of being marginalized. And before you make further assumptions I've lost or nearly lost loved ones, both male and female, to mental health issues and still find this post preposterous.

It all seems like a rework of “Why is ok to have BET…’

Lmao........you reaching on this comment.

🤣 Wait...........did people actually say that?

I must've thankfully blocked such nonsense from my memory; people will argue about anything these days.

Sorry for your experiences with the topic at hand, honestly. But don't take this as me complaining about materialistic items from bungie as recognition for this topic. My question is only to bring light into the fact that if your going to take the time and effort to push for donations for great charities like they do, then why not support Men's mental health month as well. In my eyes it's no less important as the others. As each one of the other awareness or celebration months do consist of a male audience. Does it not?
