Disable Cross Save - What Happens?

Years ago I cross saved from Xbox to PSN and have been playing on PlayStation ever since. What happens if I disable cross save? Can I still play on PlayStation? Or am I forced back to Xbox for however long cross save is off (90 days) What happens to my progress? Thanks!

  • Character progress goes back to being available only on the platform where it was created. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/4403006598164-Destiny-2-Cross-Play-Guide

If you disable Cross-Save, then each platform's save data becomes only available on that platform. Disabling Cross-Save leads to a 90-day wait before you can re-enable it. So, your answer is #2: can only play your Xbox save data on Xbox for 90 days until you can re-enable it, and can only play your Playstation save data on Playstation during that same time. The save data on your Playstation will be whatever save data you had on your Playstation prior to enable Cross-Save. If you had no characters, then you'll be back to having no characters on Playstation, etc. Cross-Save does not move or merge anything in any way, it simply allows you to play one platform's save data on other platforms while making the non-active save data dormant on all those other platforms.
