Way too complicated! The best exotics are the ones for which very little explanation is necessary, e.g. Armamentarium: "Gain an additional grenade." Simple. Regardless, you're onto something, the idea of keeping the bubble active longer, like in the final battle... I'd suggest un-nerfing damage protection inside the bubble but also lose the overshields (titans could still pop a barricade for overshields), just like before, but maybe lose the instant grenade refill. Helm of Saint-14 could be: "Players who pass through bubble are granted Weapons of Light for 10 seconds. Kills while Weapons of Light is active extend duration of bubble by 1 second." (Maybe 2 seconds?) Anyone complaining about this in PVP probably doesn't realize that PVP bubble Titans are mostly bad PVP players, without any decent offensive abilities (shield toss is laughably bad and vortex grenades, with a 2:30 cooldown, don't do squat compared to other subclass grenades that can completely incapacitate and/or nearly annihilate players). But these bad players want to play (Lord knows Bungie desperately needs all the PVP players they can get) and want to assist their team; if they can't assist with lots of kills, they can at least assist with defense and shouldn't be discouraged from doing so. Saint-14 would be useful, ish, in PVP due to the Weapons of Light, but the buff would expire quicker than it did previously and, of course, it would only work with that exotic. The 1-second bubble extension would be useful in PVE but not really in PVP and the end result is, even with the exotic equipped, bubbles would be less powerful (no 'nade refill, no overshields, Weapons of Light requires Helm of Saint-14 but buff expires quicker) than before all the changes, yet the bubbles would still provide all the pre-nerf defensive capabilities.

Interesting, what ever mechanics bungie chooses to extend the bubble is up to them but I’m glad we both agree on the mechanic at its core and thank you for providing a reason to disagreeing rather than an emotional dump with no explanation or regard for the other side
