Should snapshot sights be a weapon mod instead of a perk?

I would love that but It would be to strong I think( in PvP)

I think Bungie should make the Stats that a weapon has more powerful (ie, they determine the meta more) and introduce weapon perks that heavily change the stats of a weapon, and thus how it feels. Put them in the Third Column and have Activation/Damage perks in the fourth column. Separate the two columns into Utility (things that enhance the base functionality of the weapon, making it more effective) and Power. (Things that make the weapon stronger the more you use it) This will allow aspirational weapons, like Raid and Dungeon loot better, as Bungie can then customize the loot pools on these weapons specifically so they may roll a Damage Perk in the Third Column or a Stat perk in the Fourth Column.

I remember in D2 Vanilla when some guns had snapshot sights has there only perk , and that was supposed to be desirable ?

I always felt that mods should be more like cod perks. We can have a mod that grants snapshot, another that grants fast reload speed, another could be removing players from radar as long as they move, another could be scavenger where players get more special ammo (I know its an armor mod but it really should be a weapon mod). Also primary weapons would need a heavy buff across the board because we are already back to special ammo spam, might as well buff primaries again.

I don't think ADS speed should be adjustable ever, imo. Give it a static stat for every archetype and frame and leave it alone.

Nah I think its fine where it is atm. I do think Rader Tuner should be moved from a weapon mod to a helm mod.

1 ReplyIt kind of is. Armor mods can get you pretty close. That's what I do when I play pvp.

This could be good. Would provide some competition in the weapon mods pool with the specs being removed most just use greater mag size as the go to, but with this change they'd have to decide between bigger mag and faster gun. I like it.

Edited by Griffith: 7/2/2024 8:36:42 PMThe only way I see bungie giving us that as a mod would be in a significantly nerfed state and some of the people that spent time for that roll specifically are going to feel robbed in some way as what ever perk that would replace it might not satisfy the gap that was left by this change, I always like to play devils advocate and test both ways and unfortunately I don’t see a outcome with this change that will satisfy everyone All though I wouldn’t mind faster ADS speed to be added to the amplified buff
