Large PvP maps need to stop being in Trials

Trials is a 3v3 gamemode, having maps like Multiplex have no place in Trials or Comp for that matter. The maps slow down the gamemode and make it unbearable to even play the map sometimes. Not to even mention how absolutely unbalanced Multiplex is on roll-out routes from spawns.

  • It makes the matches feel way slower and it becomes a game of who can wait the longest or who can sit in a rift with a scout. Also why would anyone want large maps for trials when the matches are 3v3??? I hate them in comp and I hate them in trials,large maps should be for 6v6 only.

  • We totally need more large maps in Trials. I'd rather get sniped than shot by a shotgun.

      • I absolutely disagree with you in fact I hate it when Trials maps are to small which only benefits one playstyle. The current map has place for all sorts of ranges and allow for multiple tactics we finally see a comeback of scout rifles as well which were unplayable on most trials maps in the past and are currently used to counter Khostov and Red Death while the maps stil allow for close and midrange fights all the time. Narrow halls that force you in a specific combat style are what actually sucks in trials and forced the shotgun meta in the first place.

          • I Like large ones because I'm not very good in close, fast pace, combat. And I don't like using shot guns since, since the small maps are for run and gun.

            I strongly disagree not all maps should cater to the same play style. Having further ranged maps allows for different game-play and strategy's to be used. Its rare to see situations where scouts are optimal and snipers have a chance. Its a fresh of breath air not to get run down by shotguns and swarm grenades. My advice for this weeks map would be to stick close and team-shot as much as possible. If you get a pick take initiative and push up to prevent the revive. Run an AOE grenade to stall them from rezing. They key is to play for picks and isolate favorable fights with greater numbers. Additionally I strongly discourage flanking that takes more than 7 seconds. Smart teams will realize the numbers advantage and wipe your team while you are obviously running a long flank. Lastly, do not leave your teammate in a 1v1 to cap point unless you have a well or a bubble. Capping the point takes ages and there is more than enough time if your teamate dies for the enemy to get res and overwhelm you. PS: Prophet is -blam!- goated

            Nah it’s fun, just wish I’d stop getting potatoes for teammates Last game of trials I played I got a .37 and a .5 on my team :/ Legit just sat in the back and danced

            • Bungie needs to give the 50 year fathers who love using scouts a chance. Even though the problem isn’t the meta or the fact they’re horrible at the game it’s clearly the map size. Those pesky hand cannons shotguns players won’t give them problems on the big maps! Oh wait…
