Specimen ID: NES003 Not Available
Completed the main story quest and got to 25/25 waiting for Act 2 but failsafe has not given me the secondary Specimen quest for this week. Wondering if its available for anyone else as it says it seasonal challenge this week? [i]This is not the character I have done the other ones on so I will go test if that is the issue.[/i] Did it on my other character and still did not get it.

It is August 9th and I still don't have access to the Specimen 3. It has never been given to me. I have completed every seasonal quest and am waiting for Act 3. It says I have collected it but nothing in my quests.

1 ReplyFix: Go into Arena: Breach Executable challenging (private) Just like before when you were searching for samples on the left side of the screen you will have a proximity display when you are close to the NESOOO3 sample. When you get close to it the bar will go up. However if your are very far away the proximity sensor will not show, also there will be sound queues. Once you have the sample you can leave and talk to FailSafe and the quest will pop. I hope this helps -Sactravas Original post from Reddit

Same here, No NES003 specimen quest. Not surprised in the least since there are so many little bugs and problems since the final shape patch. It's ridiculous actually.

Pretty pathetic Bungie. No updates or say if this was even intended or accidental. Y’all really are falling apart and don’t know buttholes from elbows. It’s so pathetic and unacceptable to have these live service issues on such an established and long tenured game. The lack of testing before hand even though you have the ability to is obvious and you seem to be letting bugs exist so the community can sort it out for you. I because it’s not that big of a deal and we all just keep playing anyways. If I could, I would buy you today and show you how a good game could be developed and run but for now, I’ll just slowly stop playing like I have been since you’re bug riddled game and lack of communication jumped up at final shape release. The incompetence for such high pay is just mind boggling.

I remember seeing the quest but it seemingly disappeared when I listened to the radio message? It was definitely there when I finished the quest for the act but gone when I left the H.E.L.M.

Funny how when its an eververse problem its immediately addressed but I don't even see anything about this on Bungie's help section on X. Do better Bungie!!!

Bungie: Its going to work, screw testing. After update: Players: it doesn't work. Bungie support: thanks, we will look into it. Edit: it might be tied to collecting enough research samples to open the last item from failsafe. In the triumphs page there is a triumph for completing all 9, there are two, then 4 secret and then 3 rare samples which makes 9 in total. The last research bay upgrade opens after collecting all 9, I think. Reedit: it was 10, not 9 if all the secret ones on that page is the same.
