When I'm trying to do a raid, I load in. Then I realize they just through me into a pool of enemies with no fireteam to support me. Instead, without matchmaking I have to go into the fireteam finder to wait 30 minutes to get a squad. So why don't raids have matchmaking?

Raids are not matchmaking compatible due to their communication requirement.

Hahah😂😂 This is actually very funny. I can't believe it's not butter.

1 Replyso many people still react in a serious manner to this ... lol. it would be fun to be only able spectating such a raid though, think many people would die laughing.

There’s an age old saying; “You can’t please everybody all of the time”
-
Because most players cant even equip a champion weapon in nightfalls.
-
Because you’d get 6 -blam!- together, seen it happen even with forming your own fireteam. Person 1 knows how to run the raid and is set Person 2 dosent have a mic Person 3 is AFK all the time Person 4 never has ran any raid Person 5 also dosent have a mic Person 6 ends up being a troll I was person 2 sometimes :)

1 ReplyI would never step foot in a matchmade raid for many reasons but boy would it be funny to watch one lol.

Edited by TKE-Aquila: 3/11/2024 2:55:08 PMIt does, but I think that, like Guided Games was previously, it's in that seemingly perpetual beta testing state. If you go into the Director to the page with your friends list, (should be all the way over to the right, IIRC) you should see it on the top of the screen. If you haven't interacted with it already, it has some community guidelines to accept before you start using it. From my experience, it does work. It's basically how I did the Starcrossed mission, though I have yet to do it on Legend because I need to do the two Constellation missions in there first so I only have to run it once. Efficiency and all that.

1 ReplyMan Bungie should just do it at this point. Best case randoms figure it out and I get to stop reading these posts, worst case it’s a complete -blam!- show as expected and I get to have a laugh at the people who thought it would work

2 RepliesIf you're loading into a Raid by yourself and are surprised by the enemy count, you probably haven't done that Raid, and is exactly the reason matchmaking for them doesn't exist. They don't want random people gunking up the experience if they don't know what they're doing.

1 ReplyEdited by LikwiD_SmOkE22: 3/10/2024 3:24:18 AMBecause people can't handle simple strike mechanics... you think you can handle running with 5 randoms all who potentially don't have a clue what to do? It'll be so much worse man.

Raids were made with voice chat in mind. Most raids have groups relay information to each other that only they can see. VoG Oracles DSC fuses A lot of parts of Vow You can’t put requirements on matchmaking to use voice chat and idk about the text chat situation on console.

Try to get a 10% score in guardian games nightfall Then you will see why
-
Your vault clear yday , was that thru fireteam finder? Did you use a mic?
-
You need a team (actual teamwork) and communication in order to do a Raid, without those you will fail. If everyone understands what needs to happen and every raid-mechanic for the selected Raid then it can be a smooth run. Matchmaking would never work for Raids, unless it has some way to detect if you have a Mic plugged into the controller.

1 ReplyIt's to ensure that players that actually want to complete the content can do so in a coordinated team....
