PvP is not going to be good if it doesn't take a break from all the catering and people just start to worry about what's good. I personally don't think its good to have the game calculating up a lot of the stuff you're talking about.

Who do you think pvp is currently catering to? What parts of pvp do you think are objectively good that they need to focus on?

Edited by A_mo: 2/10/2024 4:47:06 PMIt caters. It should do far less catering. There's cracks in the facade of an idea that PvP "caters" to this or that group and that those groups are distinguished by anything that could help solve the problem. The parts of pvp that are good are the parts of destiny that are good. The movement and gunplay. And the feel of the game. Most of pvp should be focused on that. The other approach were everyone is so focused on what kind of person they think they're playing is what it is.

I'm still lost on the catering part. Do you have an example? I can agree with you on the moment and gunplay. Both are really good and feel great.

Edited by A_mo: 2/10/2024 4:57:26 PMIf its competitive it doesn't "weight" certain things as heavily as this game may or may not in order to achieve a certain outcome. And it certainly doesn't take the alternate reality created by that and then proceed to not even make sense according to its own rules or unto itself. That's a bridge too far when something starts doing that. Basically just rewriting the rules as you go and only that is not what people that know what they're doing are doing.
