Agree with shotguns except for precision frames people are starting to use them again not even just for the glitch but people are surprised they actually do a lot of damage. It'd be better only to give like a 10% buff.
Swords I agree with but two sword frames need some extra buffs for reasons I'll explain
Aggressive swords which used to be the king of swords for dealing massive burst damage and having decent dps now have terrible dps and not even the best burst damage the cost of slow swings and low ammo no longer is offset by high damage as now they only deal like 5% more per a swing. I saw a test where a god roll Aggressive dealt like a quarter of any other sword and the only use was a double heavy attack but even with that many swords still would win over them.
And then we have caster frames very high ammo cost basically no damage output as basically any special weapon outputs far more dps and total damage you can already see the issue here.

Thronecleavers pretty good on crota.

With enhanced surrounded sure but it's still easily beaten by the other frames except for Caster since I don't think any heavy can lose to Caster frames.

Edited by TheLastNerf: 1/2/2024 3:28:56 PMwhat's special about precisions? I'd be using them more to find out but there are only like 3 currently in the game. I tried running Duality a few days ago when I was testing some weapons out, but I didn't notice anything interesting or worthwhile. Anyway, I mainly suggested this buff to push them away from Lightweights as a better damage option, as they currently only deal 4% higher damage (per shot), but still fire 23% slower. I agree with you on the sword frames though. Generally I think sword heavy attacks need to be more powerful. Currently they're only a hindrance to sustained damage and ammo, and aren't that great for burst damage either

Duality is not completely comparable to precisions as the slug mode still uses the weapons aggressive mode range meaning it only has 8 meters versus the normal like 12-13-ish meters some precisions hit. Precisions are generally used on any boss with an easy to hit crit as the damage they can pump out has been shown to be pretty insanely high comparable to lower tier heavy weapons they even used to be the meta when the swap meta was a thing (Now a days it's shoot all your rockets then for the last like 3 seconds use your special) but even now people will still use em. The issue though with precision frame shotguns is easily the perk pool almost all of them don't have a good perk most of the time the best perk is vorpal a 15% buff when now a days 20-30% buffs are common on many weapons even fusions have a perk that's basically a free 20% buff. Precision shotguns need more perks that help with damage over ad clearing.

Edited by TheLastNerf: 1/2/2024 10:29:02 PMI thought you meant pellet precisions, not slugs. I think slugs are in a pretty good place, as are lightweights and rapid-fires, which is why I suggested a lower level buff for them. I honestly have no idea how these changes would play out in game, but I know if a slug buff were too minor, they might just become obsolete compared to other frames. As you mentioned we really haven't seen how well powerful damage perks perform on them, as most of the high level ones are too situational, making Vorpal the default most reliable option. Something like Trench Barrel or Bait and Switch could drastically shift the meta, but I think that's something Bungo really wants to avoid
