More weapons will hopefully get closer to their native ttk's. That's something that's probably a lot harder to get right when they don't get to add what specials and abilities would be doing though. It's a good mode that has a solid group of players that likes it, so that's good.

Hopefully it gets fine tuned. Had really good games in Trials. Ttk should be same across every mode, it's something that is hard for the player to get adjusted on the fly.

Very true. And this game really has grown beyond the hand cannon/ shotgun thing. A long time ago it might have made more sense to reduce it down to hand cannons and leave it like that. But now if it's done correctly checkmate can be the weapons based mode that a lot of people have been wanting. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it taking time to get right. Primaries have played more of a background role in the last few years and it has to be hard to figure out which ones belong and which ones might not because they end up with too much influence, like a lot of people think bows currently do. As long as the goal of the modifier is for it to be good it will most likely end up that way. With the bow situation someone should be able to look at that and say that has a high chance of not being very appealing to a lot of people.
