Fireteam Finder Feedback - Please let us filter comms better

Hi, I've been generally enjoying Fireteam Finder but I do think there is one major issue right now. I really feel like the requirements for joining need to be better enforced, namely the mic option. We made a team for VOTD and said please have mic and be experienced, everyone joins with a mic except 2 people. One of them had text chat and knew what to do so that was fine. Other guy had no text chat on, no whispers, no mic, couldn't hear voice chat, and didn't know what to do. We hard carried him to Rhulk but he wiped us for about half an hour by taking the buffs and then running around doing nothing because he didn't know what to do. We couldn't type or speak to tell him to stop, we had to resort to shooting and emoting in disagreement and he still didn't get it, we had to kick him which sucked because we were hoping to carry him to his first clear. Basically, I really think that for most fireteam finder activities, or at least raids dungeons GMs etc, you should not be able to join if you have text chat disabled. It should automatically opt you in. Also, if we say "have mic", people without a working mic should not physically be able to join imo. Would also appreciate if "have experience" also barred people from below a certain number of clears from joining. Nothing against newer players and I enjoy carrying them, but it doesn't make sense for some high skill teams who want a fast clear to be able to get a guy with 0 total clears who has no comms just because he decided not to read the entry "requirements" (suggestions) Had some fun in Fireteam Finder and have loved playing with randoms and carrying new players, but this is a strong pain point for me and I'm sure others right now TLDR: People joining Raids via Fireteam Finder should need to have at least team text chat enabled for them, it makes no sense to let in people with zero comms. You should also allow us to set a minimum clear limit and enforce the "have mic" more strictly. I feel like this would make the experience a lot easier for all of us, including new players

  • Sounds like a good idea. There are probably ways for the game to check for what you're talking about. Some of these activities take too long to be attempting to carry someone that should have been more prepared than that. Something like that would also help people join the right groups easier. Because there are some people out there that just really don't know.
