Disagree. Fantastic mode should be made permanent. I particularly enjoy the tears when crutches are taken away 😂

The TTK is awful and makes it harder to clutch 1v3’s or 2v3’s It’s made the pool of viable weapons even lower and most games end up being this boring, lane hard aiming waiting for someone to peek. Which also makes matches take way too long in some instances. People of all skill levels are rightly pointing out the snowball effect that takes place when the better team then gets special ammo first. Which just shows how half baked the game mode is. This game mode also massively highlights bungies team balancing issues when solo queuing. Please feel free to keep trolling peoples posts with the brain dead comment of “can’t clutch special” though, like that’s the sole issue with this cluster -blam!-

Edited by Wynd: 12/24/2023 12:38:37 AMYou say that yet controller side arm/peace keeper smg controller titan n such still exist. All this does is allow those idiots abusing that stuff to not be countered. The idea of checkmate is great n would be good for Playlist but you can't allow these other blatant outliers to exist. It's great not having fusions or shotguns. All it takes is controller players to abuse side arms, last word n certain smgs and it's a -blam!- experience. Same with bows. Can't use snipers which is good but people just wall hack you or Le momarque cheese you. Also nothing done about blatant pc xim mnk players. That's exactly why this games pvp player base is such a joke n the games dead most of the time. You cater to this small set of players which crutch controller aim assist n other nonsense instead of balancing it so a wider audience would want to play. Will be lucky to have 20k players in trials on a weekend virtually everyone is home on vacation lol. Tone down controller aim assist across the board especially on snipers, side arms, smgs, last word n fusions. Let the player base actually grow n quit coddling the 15k idiots that will quite frankly play no matter what changes occur.

PC's player population hasn't plummeted as much as console. But it is mostly controller players now if I'm not mistaken. Matching by inputs would probably make a lot of controller PC players quit. The player pool on PC appears to allow for more freedom than what we get on console a lot of the time.

Who said anything about matching by inputs? What they need to do is fix the controller outliers. Everyone with a brain knows snipers, sidearms, last word, fusions n certain smgs have been completely broken on controller. Total training wheels where bad players get flattened with other weapon types and they resort to using these and get gifted free kills. Bungie is terrified of upsetting these delusional cry baby controller players and caters to them instead of fixing outliers so a larger audience would actually enjoy the game.

Edited by A_mo: 12/24/2023 7:06:45 PMIt just kind of sounds like something that could be used as an excuse for more balance blanding and treating all weapons like they are equal. I know that's not what you mean though.

SMGs are primary weapons so I don’t have any problems with them. I like to use an adaptive pulse and find that I just keep to my range. Because really that’s what Destiny PvP is. It’s a range battle. And bows are good at chunk damage but require team work. The rest of it is not a checkmate issue. It’s a PC issue by the sounds of it. And I for one would not play on PC. Too many cheaters. And for some reason I just think of work when I use MnK. I like to use a pad for gaming because I feel more immersed in the game.
