To all the anti-ability “skilled” players who claim that low skill ability spamming players are the ones who dislike Checkmate, your claim belies how weak minded you are.
Low skill players don’t kill high skill players with most abilities.
1. Low skill players don’t often use their abilities. They can barely run and shoot, let alone remember they have abilities.
2. Low skill players, even if they use their abilities, rarely do so on cooldown. They aren’t spamming anything.
3. Low skill players, even if they use their abilities, rarely do so effectively. They’ll toss their grenades into the ether and are easy pickings when they use any roaming super.
Any sufficiently skilled player can outplay a lesser player “spamming” abilities. The notion that a low skill player routinely kills a high skill player with abilities is laughable.

Anti-ability pvp modes just leads to no skill try hards using whatever broken primaries exists and team sniping the other team via sitting on there own team mates laps, there is no fricking skill to any of this.

Edited by Muffincup: 12/1/2023 1:42:58 AMIts an odd one. People aren't high skilled just because they utilize everything to the max. Just because they don't use abilities doesn't mean anything beyond, they don't use abilities. They aren't low skill for not using abilities, nor are they higher skilled either, you know? Some people need a singular focus, others can deal with many. Tactical usage is important. Some people focus there. Skill is about how effective we are with whatever works best for the individual. Being efficient with whatever we're given in any capacity. Whether its ability spamming or gunplay, both can be high skill or no skill. What playstyle enables us to be the most efficient? That's skill. Its a honed craft of nuance and small details, among the basic proficiencies. Skill is not one thing, its a conglomeration of things that vary. Its weird how single-minded skill is perceived.
