I could live with or without a shooting range, the whole game is pretty much that already imo. But I'd like to have a room of trophies back.

That's fair. It does seem a bit superfluous when you could go shoot actual targets. Some people learn and practice better in a controlled setting though. A simulation for your virtual escapism as it were.
