Ember of Mercy + Ember of Empyrean = weird interaction?

So I found a weird interaction between Ember of Mercy and Ember of Empyrean. I don't think it's was intended to do the following. So picking up a Firesprite gives you 2sec of restoration with Ember of Mercy. A healing grenade gives 4sec of restoration. Ember of Empyrean let's you extend both timers (2sec and 4sec) to a max of 12sec. Now the issue I encountered - let's say we have two instances, one where I used a healing grenade and then got the 4sec timer to the max of 12sec and another instance where I got the 2sec timer from a firesprite to the max of 12sec. If I now pick up a firesprite it resets the restoration timer to the initial value. healing grenade: max 12sec -> gets reset to 4sec. firesprite restorationL max12sec -> gets reset to 2sec. Like I said, I don't think that's intentional. I hope this gets fixed/changed.

 • The same can be found with Phoenix Dive, using it again when you already have Restoration will reset the timer.

 • Its a bug. Bungie told us it requires some engineering work to fix the issue and that it was being prioritised for a future update - that was 3 months ago over on a reddit thread here and the bug itself was acknowledged 7 months ago in the March 30th TWAB here
