Considering people seemingly have lost their player data the amount of fury that is going to be directed at them is insane and I think Bungie knows that so they better be scrambling because right now they've just let players that have had this issue continue the tailspin of "oh my God they lost my time and effort and things I spent money on" so I hope they can fix it quickly.

There is no possible way that they lost all player information. Databases ensure the information makes it to disk and because of inherit restrictions of databases they are incredibly hard to currupt. Combine that with a raid file system, which is going to be enormous and it’s just not possible.

Literally, no comments from them on an issue of this magnitude is a severe blow to their community management. I've spent hundreds on the game from dlcs to silver.
