Rainbow 6 Siege did something like this, called it Operation Health.

Edit: I got the URL wrong
It meant there was a loss of stuff in that season pass (One less map and possibly some new weapons), but the technical improvements were necessary.

Sorry I'm late to replying. But yeah, that's exactly where the idea came from! This game has been in the gutter for the last few seasons and it really sucks... Nothing works properly, and nothing is getting fixed Pvp is in shambles and there's a bunch of UI bugs [i]still[/i] in the game... I genuinely do not like where Destiny is going at this rate.
