Yes the DCV was introduced and many if not all of the loading problems were fixed, then people complained about it and they stopped vaulting stuff and now the game is back to the same problems again because it is back to the same size if not bigger

Source? https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/50752 OP made it tf up
-
I love how people can just flat-out make something up & get hundreds of upvotes here lol

Edited by BraddyBo: 6/9/2023 10:04:42 AMIt’s criminal that the sole purpose of the DCV at the beginning was to shrink the game so bugs are way less common and way easier to fix but turned out to be an outright LIE, meant to keep the game alive with minimal effort using a skeleton crew while most resources are spent on marathon/other projects.

Remember when the promise was the content inside the content vault was supposed to slowly return? It's been almost three years now Bungie, when are we getting the other campaigns back?
-
Don't believe a word they say. Remember when they told you that they needed your sweet money to keep creating great content for Destiny? Well, they have just announced a game that they have been working on since 2018. Yeah, that was a big fat lie.
-
Error Code: Weasel remembers
Not for server issues, no. Was more download size and the amount of content that devs would have to update with each release.
-
Remember when activision was the problem lol boycott marathon
-
Doesn't the game have more gigs of content in it then before? Like all this long militances and server issues have started to pop up more and more since the game crossed the 100GB line. IDK bring DVC back?

Edited by C-a-I-l-u-m: 6/10/2023 5:39:14 PM🤔 wondering why I haven’t seen a soul mention how next season we are getting a raid from the DCV. One we ‘already paid for’ and we are paying for it again. (Technically , other then getting a new raid with new season🤬)
-
I remember the DCV was made to create space since Destiny has gotten so big. I also remember that there are a bunch of haters on this app so it makes sense that people like to spread false information.
-
It is a skill issue at Bungie nothing more. Bad leadership is ultimately the number 1 issue with this game.
-
Game is in such a poor, broken, and empty state that they have to create a lousy thing such as a DCV. Laughable! 🤣 I paid full price for a couple years since D2 launched and I come back to play it, but they are gone. Kaput! 🤣 Laughable! Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!🤣
-
I thought it was because they made some major engine enhancments and updating all of the content would have taken too long and been way more work than it was worth considering a lot of it got very little attention? Also for streamlining updating and such. I dont remember it being said it was for server stability?
-
The DCV was for 1 purpose Taking away content to resell back to us, a shortcut to keeping up with season schedules so they can add some dressing to existing assets and push it out the door has new content I have accepted that along time ago
-
It was definitely done for server stability and not to sell us that vaulted content at a later date. Trust me.
-
It was to reduce the file size and had nothing to do with server issues. Stop making stuff up.

Try throwing a weasel in a vault. Have you ever tried throwing a weasel in a vault? It's really hard. Those things are squirrelly.
-
And it did, but then they released 2 more DLCs. Time to get rid of shadowkeep and nessus
-
While I understand and agree with the server frustration, that was definitely not the reason behind the DCV.
-
They’re not vaulting content anymore..
-
Lying. One of the few things Bungo is actually good at.
-
The DCV was created to make patches etc easier to implement. They failed.
