no one can tell me its a good idea

I think rift is very competitive. More than just mindless killing. People can’t seem to adapt. Survival frustrates me the most because one player can actually throw. Rift is still about slaying and map control but it just changes your approach differently. Apes seem to hate it.

I'm gonna be honest with you, comp is horrible due to a flawed point system, not to mention sbmm dictates match ups, when your competitive rank should determine your match making. I've literally come across players that have made it to ascendent rank with negative overall crucible kd, while my 1.4 kd requires me to play every match like it's game 7 for the light house in trials, just to win and get 5 points. 🤣 it's a joke. Do yourself a favor and just dont touch comp for your sanity.

Edited by NotCreative123: 6/6/2023 8:54:15 PMRift tests a different set of skills than just killing. 1) Rift forces you to play over a wide area of the map - Rift forces you to play in your spawn, their spawn, and in the middle of the map. That's a lot of areas that Survival doesn't deal with. 2) Rift forces you to play with your team. - In Survival, you can 1v3 fairly easily, but you have to be coordinated to score in Rift thanks to the rapid respawns. 3) Rift rewards both aggressive and passive play. - Play aggressive to get the Spark and push, and play passive to prevent a score. All in all, Rift requires a much wider range of skills than Survival. Now, I do have problems with Rift. 1) Inconsistent and unpredictable spawns often cost rounds. 2) Sides don't flip after scoring, so one team has spawn advantage on certain maps. 3) Respawns are insanely fast, so it makes it difficult to score against an evenly matched team. The enemy respawns right there, but your teammate respawns across the map. You almost have to wait on Heavy or a super to get an advantage. 4) Very difficult to play as a solo player since it requires good teamwork and coordination.

I'm just going to say it I believe Marathon will have a very similar game mode and Bungie is in the process of deciding where to put it

Because Bungie likes it, and they want you to like it to I can't wait for the TWAB that announces Trials Rift, oh the forum salt that will be spewing -
I think there should be more objective based game modes instead of one and 3 different flavors of elimination

You are about a year too late complaining about this
