Error Code Centipede

I keep getting Error Code Centipede everytime I try to login. I'm not even able to make it to the guardian select screen. If I wait around long enough, Error Code Plum will come onto my screen and pretty much force me to quit the game. Is there anything that can be done about this? I have verified the games file, I am up to date on windows, and I updated my graphics card driver. I am currently at a loss.

  • No fix worked for me. So far I have done the following: Release, Renew, FlushDNS, reset all network devices including routers and switches, restarted Steam, restarted Destiny, and even Restarted my PC. I also noticed that even with release/renew, my IP was still auto assigning to the same value, so I set a new static address, no avail. It would be great to get this issue fixed. There is little to no official support on this issue, and it seems like it has been around for a while. At this point I don't know when I will be allowed to play Destiny again. P.S. my NAT is open.

    • This has been an issue for me as well. Same exact deal, Centipede error on login attempt, Plum error after waiting a bit. I've verified game files and adjusted my firewalls, to no avail. Sometimes after repeated attempts and multiple relaunches, the game would login and run perfectly normal with no issue. But if you're ever booted to title screen from closing the game or AFK timer, you're back in the centipede loop. [u]A workaround I saw on the subreddit that supposedly works;[/u] Enabling a VPN allows you to get into the character select screen, then you can disconnect the VPN. You'll probably get error code Weasel, but that's fine, just keep the VPN off and login again.

    • This same issue has been happening to me in the last 24 hours on my Xbox Series S. I have only been able to login once last night. Today, no luck at all. SMFH!!!!!

    • Same here - Wondering if it has anything to do with multiple people playing on the same connection? I am not totally versed in this but I have times where I load it on my pc and my girlfriend cant get in but other times its switched to where she can get it but I can. Same thing with error code plum after a while of it being on. Contacted ISP, lady spent an hour on the phone with me trying a bunch but to no success. Def looking for a fix on this end soon!

    • if it makes u feel anybetter im having the same issue on xbox series x the last 3 days and its not my router or modem or my wireless network everything else works just fine all my other games work.ive tried resetting my cache ...over and over any other ideas cuz im about to stop playing this game for good.

    • I have the same problem on PC. It looks to be a open connection that is still being used with Steam and Bungie maybe. I did the following and was able to reconnect (though Bungie will hopefully actually address the issue of the port is still being opened). Another way to tell is if you exit steam and come back, I cannot connect to the friends & chat section. Here is what I did: In an elevated command prompt (run CMD as admin) do the following ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew Let me know if it works for you or not.

        • Also having the same problem, took about half an hour of restarting my game and PC to get it to work. Have no internet problems either.
