Surge Mods and Void Weapon Channeling not working with Transmutation Spheres
I seem to have encountered an issue with void weapon damage multipliers from Void Surge mods not applying to the void damage done by the Transmutation Spheres created by Ruinous Effigy. Void Surge modifiers in endgame activities works as intended. Heavy attack, light attack, and draining guard damage on a normal lost sector boss are the same with or without Void Surge mods equipped on Leg Armor.
The Void Weapon Channeling artifact perk also does not work with these Transmutation Spheres. They activate the perk with their void damage, but they do not experience an increase in damage when the perk is active.
I know this tiny issue probably affects only 5-10 people including myself who play with the Ball, but it would be very cool to see this resolved in the future. Our retired font of might and high energy fire mods used to boost damage of the sphere since it counted as a weapon.

That sounds like its intentional.
The surge modifiers is a blanket buff to outgoing void damage - so would impact the sphere.
Weapon surge and void weapon channelling apply to the weapon - but iirc the orb isn't considered a void weapon but just a void something so the 2 weapon specific buffs wouldn't apply
