First and foremost, the second encounter Scission needs some love. The final node on each floor can bug out and not spawn the aura to grant the buff to kill the shielded enemies. After unintentionally triggering it a few times in a row we tried to control variables to narrow down the bug to no avail. We tried re-syncing at the same time, re-syncing after the buff timer fell off, re-syncing before the final node, waiting out the wipe timer until the last second before finishing the node, and chaos. Nothing seemed to be conclusive. One of the floors bugged nearly every time we attempted the encounter.
[i]Having the encounter bug out that often is extremely discouraging.[/i] We were forced to resort to "cheesing" the shields in order to clear it after exhausting everything we could think of.
Please don't let this issue languish like Duality's bells did. Waiting two seasons for a fix that half worked did [b]NOT[/b] feel good. As the premier raid/end game activity, this honestly should be a high priority.
Edit: I have seen some comments around reddit/twitter that claims completing the dark nodes first (on any floor) is what triggers the bug.
Edit 2: Others suggest letting the last light node spawn before the dark, as well as completing light first.
Edit 3: Finally got around to testing things again. We successfully completed the encounter without triggering the bug! We intentionally did two things: the encounter triumph (don't kill shielded enemies until the final node) and completing the light node first for [b]each[/b] link.
I ran into this bug quite a few times last night and sadly, the light side was always completed first (that runner just slightly faster), so I don’t think that’s the issue. It does need to be addressed though.
