So you think it was meant to be a dungeon because the planets encounter appears to be out of place compared to the rest of the raid encounters?

What it boils down to: One encounter doesn't fit three encounters do For the one that's out of place, it matches traditional raid-encounter design by bungie For the three that fit together, they are lacking that raid-encounter design philosophy If you omit the encounter that's out of place, you're left with three encounters that possess a mechanic matching bungie's dungeon-design philosophy (nearly identical to the mechanic in SotW), so you're essentially left with, mechanically speaking: a dungeon.

So you think the planets encounter was added later on & that the original content was meant to be encounters 1 2 & 4? I'm just trying to make sure I understand.

Edited by DrPengwin: 3/15/2023 2:25:30 AMEssentially yeah. encounters 1, 2, and 4 were possibly ripped (mechanically) from an old design for what the S19 dungeon would be while they were drafting dungeons, and when they pushed TFS and its content back a year, they held on to one of its raid encounters to fluff things out.

I can see why some people might think that. It never occurred to me. I saw someone on fb mention this a couple days ago just wanted to make sure I was understanding you because your theory & his are pretty similar.
