Why did our boss have so much more health? Synapsis: Root of Whatever Ran the challenge mode today, finding it difficult but fun nonetheless. We got to the 3rd encounter and had a difficult time understanding how we were dealing so little damage. With an light cap at 1780, all of our 1800+ guardians should have been more than comfortable in the room. @damage phase, we mirrored several different strat-s for damage, counting DPS to be the same as streamed videos or recordings, and noticed our total damage output on the boss health bar was not equaling the watched videos. We never went to orbit as a fireteam, so the lobby never changed. Why did our boss have so much more health? After 3 plate phases we were barely able to get to 1/4 damage, even with a total dmg output of 3mil? After two dmg phases, we didn’t get past mid health, enrage came up, and our total damage output counted was 7.2 mil. Do boss health bars increase to limit guardian ranking on a single encounter- preventing farming? Is this a bug where if multiple wipes and several character inventory changes occur does the boss try to factor the light values into its overall health? Why are some bosses harder than the final boss? And Why did we spend three hours of our life on one boss when we could have cleared 2 other raids in this time? (The world may never know).
