I have destiny 2 for the ps4 and the pc. On my account (PS4) I own up to the shadow keep DLC, for pc (Epic) I own up to the witch queen cause I couldn't access anything prior since it claims that I didn't own the DLC. On Steam I currently own only the Lightfall DLC.
If I were to play on my pc I need to boot up 2 different launchers to play the DLC that I own while getting locked out of the other because they claim that I do not own them. Is there a reasonable explanation on why the BUNGIE account can't store the information of a singular account owning DLC that you produce and sell on it. Why does it need to be purchased multiple times so that i can play with that content that.
I can understand the Playstation situation a little because it comes from Sony themselves. But why is this an issue if i have to connect to the Bungie servers to play the game anyway. The only thing the servers seem to recognize is that my account exists and my characters are saved there.
This brings up the Silver issue as well where that isn't even transferred between the account. Meaning that if I bought silver on steam I wouldn't be able to use it on any other platform even though its on the account.
Is there a reasonable explanation on why the BUNGIE account can't store the information of a singular account owning DLC that you produce and sell on it.
Because platforms want their cut of the sale. Take it up with them, they're the ones saying no, not Bungie.
