Hi there!
Please follow the steps outlined below to provide an accurate system report. Please do not follow these steps while Destiny 2 is running.
1. Restart your machine.
2. When you log in, please click on the Windows icon, then type dxdiag. If typed correctly, only one command should appear. Please click it. (If you need to enter the credentials of an administrator of the PC, please do so).
3. Allow the tool to run. A green bar should progress on the bottom portion of the window. If you receive any dialogue boxes as it progresses, please address them accordingly.
4. Once the tool is completed, please click on the "Save All Information" button. Save the resulting text file in an easy to find location, such as your Desktop. Then, close the tool.
5. Open the text file you just created and copy all of text to your clipboard by selecting all of it (Ctrl+A) and copying it (Ctrl +C OR rightclick and click Copy). Then, close the file.
6. Go to pastebin.com
7. In the text box below, paste all of the text in the box.
8. If you would like to make your system specs hidden, you can change the Paste Exposure to Unlisted. This will hide it from the Public section of the site but still allow people to view your Paste. Then, click the Create New Paste button.
9. Copy the resulting URL and reply back to this comment with the URL.

Update! I have now been able to reach the character screen! What worked was factory resetting the router both through the computer and the reset button on the router. My guess is its something to do with the MAC/Lease the router gives your PC/system which is being lost/conflicting with what bungies end is expecting. Resulting in the crash before character screen. There is a chance this is only a coincidence so if I can't start again I will continue to update
-
More reason to suspect its a Destiny game issue and not my computer, Fortnite loads up perfectly fine. Same with other games like Tarkov, Risk of Rain, etc. If it was something with my system blocking destiny would it not also impact other programs?
-
Any updates on this bug? Its now been a week and the raid race is in a few days with little to 0 info or fixes for people unable to login. Should it just be taken as a Ban since there is little to no communication about the matter? Consistent with bans?
-
If you were banned, you would receive a message stating as such. If your game is consistently crashing, then something is causing it to crash. Unfortunately, your DxDiag report is still not displaying any crash reports regarding Destiny 2. There is still additional software on there that is flooding the report. These could be old entries. Please check your Event Viewer to see if there are any crash messages there. Your best bet would be to search for any APPCRASH or LiveKernel event messages.
-
Where in the Event Viewer would crash messages appear? Under 'Summary of Administrative Events' I have a Critical Event Type. Kernel-Power system rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. However I don't think this was causing the issue. You've also been having me grab DxDiag before booting destiny, I doubt any error would appear at that point. The additional software relating to gpufanhelper and pushnoticemonitor are no longer in the system. My guess is those were the old entries and Im not sure how to clear those. Ive even reinstalled base windows 10 from Microsoft updater. There is no app on the PC causing Destiny to crash
-
Most crash reports would log themselves in the Application section.
-
There are 16 events all under Windows PowerShell. All administrative. All are Information level and are Engine/Provider Lifecycle categories. I made a new dxdiag pastebin after trying to get destiny to load and it crashing: https://pastebin.com/GqVUDdRP
-
Update: After enabling cross save and trying on Epic I still get the same crash behavior. However before it crashed through epic it displayed a centipede error then went back to title screen, after again hitting enter it crashed the same as on steam. This leads me to believe its a networking error either on our end or Bungies. Considering ive changed nothing on my network/router this seems to be a bungie networking error
-
I believe this may be coincidental. Network related error codes normally do not generate crashes unless your network card driver is crashing. Please generate a new system report. Thanks!

No luck on the Teredo on my end. Generated a new report from a clean boot: https://pastebin.com/62pyncqL

Edited by ARandom_Shadow: 3/7/2023 1:07:28 AMIt didn't crash from the error, after the error it cycled back to the start screen on its own. The crash occurred after hitting enter again. The centipede error didn't reappear the second time when it crashed like before. Ive also noticed something called Teredo interacting with the network/xbox live connections that impact NAT type. Gives me 'Teredo is unable to qualify' under NAT type and server connectivity says 'Blocked' under windows settings. I don't play on an xbox and I don't play games through the windows store so im not sure how Teredo appeared or if its ultimately having an effect on destiny causing me to not properly connect. Edit: Im also not having any other issues with other games as previously stated so idk if Teredo is causing these issues or not

Okay. I believe this is the correct link. Thank you for the help! https://pastebin.com/fyRreHP1

I am not seeing any crash messages in your DxDiag report. Your system seems to be having issues with some third party software, GpuFanHelper and PushNoticeMonitor. Please either uninstall these or check with the developer of these programs to see if there are updated applications that would address these crashes, then recreate the issue and generate another system report.
-
Okay programs are fully cleared this time, issue still persists after restarting the PC. Ran another dxdiag. Happens same as in the original video just without the admin prompt. https://pastebin.com/pFujj0mD
-
Sure but those are auto installed by asus. Those programs been doing that for years and 0 issues, even with destiny before now. Ill try and uninstall them and submit another DxDiag. Ive tried to find/uninstall them previously with no luck
-
These applications may be a part of a suite of ASUS software. If you are unsure how to update or uninstall these components, please contact ASUS Support.

Edited by ARandom_Shadow: 3/6/2023 1:14:01 AMOkay, programs are uninstalled, Destiny is not set to run as admin, and restarted PC. Same issue happens when trying to load Destiny. New DxDiag pastebin: https://pastebin.com/xQ5N3hwG So apparently even though I uninstalled gpufanhelper the app remained......fully deleted and gonna send another DxDiag after testing again. Sorry about that
-
Okay, thats why I've missed them previously. Im looking at ASUS forums for that at the moment. Ill update/uninstall the files then comment another DxDiag here. Thank you again for the support, means a lot!
