Game not Launching on Steam
This problem randomly started last Saturday 1/28/2023, I select the play button on steam to launch the game and it starts the loading process. I get the popup screen that Battleye is loading, the popup goes away, but as I am waiting for the game to come up at some point it does not and steam shows the game running then it is not. I check my task manager and no application for Battleye or destiny 2 is running after this sudden stop. They show in the processes when I hit play, but shut down without any errors. I have verified my files, cleared my steam download cache, reinstalled Battleye, tried letting both Steam and Battleye run as admin permissions. What is strange is that I have not changed anything on my system from that Friday to Saturday, and the failure to launch is inconsistent because it might go 5 or 10 times in a row that it does not work, then it will launch the game successfully. I suspect that it is battleye causing the problem, but not sure at this point.

Windows Defender doesn't like Destiny 2. to fix all problems i downloaded Avast and use that to control my security instead of the Windows defender and everything works as it should now.

Insured that all drivers are up to date and I am still having the issue of the inconsistent game launching. I have discovered a work around that suggest that the problem is with battleye in some way. The only way I can predictability successfully launch the game is if I delete the battleye folder and let the game detect it is missing and ask for a new install which I okay. At this point it will launch no problem. I have to do this every time. I have also tried uninstalling battleye and reinstalling using the method in the destiny 2 installed folders, but that has the same inconsistency problems as a normal launch. It is acting as though battleye is not closing properly when I close the game and effecting a later launch, but the task manager does not show any process related to battleye or destiny prior to my attempts.
