For our inaugural post we wanted to create a thread to gather up some of your top priorities for changes you want to see in the game. Comment below with your feedback. Share whatever you like, just keep it civil and concise so we can read through as many as possible.

If this IS the D2 dev team reading this, I have not exactly feedback but changes I’d like to personally see in the long term of this game. At the moment I think you guys are working well with all the QoL changes and system improvements (character builds, load out systems, mods, etc) and while I don’t wanna regurgitate what most people are asking for now (PvP changes, netcode) I wanna just share some ideas that could be possible down the road or in the next saga 1.) Better narrative direction and new player experience The lore is great and has been building for years however there’s no real way to understand the entire narrative in game currently. WQ was great and I’m sure LF will be too, however it’s like starting at episode 100 or reading 3/4 the way of a book, you won’t have any idea what’s going on or what’s at stake for these characters. 2.) Destinations need more variety You put so much time and effort into these zones just for them to be abandoned and simply used as a place to do a seasonal challenge every so often. World bosses, events, etc would be a good start however there could be more done besides combat loops. I’ll explain in another point. 3.) player housing A little extreme, but more in the sense of warframe’s dojos. Essentially spaces for players to display collectibles or items you can earn in game and create essentially a trophy room of sorts. The idea is somewhat already in the game from the Europa room and the helm (Calus bobble heads and warmind nodes) however this could give huge incentive towards completionism besides titles/seals 4.) More social aspects! You may say to raid you need to communicate, however majority of the game isn’t really social, I’d suggest adding small mini games or activities you do just for fun with no real gear or combat incentive. (Sparrow racing is a start) maybe tie cosmetics to it or something. 5.) Crafting/Gathering I really am not sure how this would be implemented, most definitely not anytime right now as we’re in the end of the current saga, however in whatever comes after Final shape or later considering how many allied races we’ve made there could be restoration projects for us? Building new homes for say the Cabal or Eliksni could be a start. Once again I do not know an exact way to implement this but the concept would be interesting in a game like destiny. Most of these ideas I do not expect at all anytime soon or even further, these more or less would lean into MMORPG territory but why not? Destiny needs to feel more alive as a game beyond just being a chore list every week. PvP changes, meta changes, this is broken that is broken just makes this game feel stressful and unfun. D2 team, consider those suggestions if you plan on making bigger content past The final shape. This franchise needs innovation.
