Unable to log in to Bungie with steam account
I tried to log in through bungie with my steam account
and leads to this
Authentication Error
An unexpected error occurred while communicating with your selected authentication provider. If this issue persists, we recommend closing your web browser and opening it again. If the issue continues, please visit the Help page for additional assistance.

I haven't been able to use DIM since last night - it's telling me i have no associated characters with the acc i signed in with (my only bungie account,linked with twitch aswell) and i can't seem to find a workoaround and sign in in a different manner. - all my characters are present ingame w/o issues (same happening with the D2 app) - after logging in i am offered to create a new character or sign in via different manner? - friend list doesn't seem to be loading in either except for steam friends? really weird Very confusing situation overall. I am looking forward to any suggestions and advice, have a nice day everyone :)

I have been having issues with steam authentication for months in regards to deactivating cross save. (check former post.) Any idea if this is in conjunction with that?

Same issue here with Steam. As mentioned - Twitch Authentication was my workaround (if you have your bungie account linked to Twitch).

They're not going to have a way to log in and let Bungie know they are also having the same problem. Bungie, please fix before the weekend. Players don't want to wait until next Monday for someone to show up to work and start trying to figure this out

im also having this issue. Strange thing is I can still log in through PS even though the 2 accounts are linked. So i still have access to DIM as long as i sign in that way. But since i own the expansions through steam its limiting.

same issue here - had to logon via xbox to access site, my steam auth kept failing something is definitely up.

seems to have started at about 6:30 PST 01/19/23. I cant find any help forums posts older then that.

can confirm this is an issue. any attempts to link or login to bungie through steam is met with an authentication error.

Having the same issue just now. Couldn't use steam to log into d2armorpicker, log into bungie.net, i couldn't even use it to log into my epic games account. so i believe this is an error with steam's systems
