Armor should be given as Rank up rewards for IB
I've played IB almost every season and by far is this one the worst with drops. The amount of times I've received the blowout rocket launcher and other base crucible weapons over IB drops is infuriating. I've reset twice with no hood for the Hunter, and only the bond for the Warlock. Saladin should give armor for ranking up instead of enhance materials which can be farmed elsewhere. This is not trials of Osiris and the drop rate should not feel like I'm looting on earth in random chests. Raise the drop rate of IB activity gear and drop crucible gear drop significantly WHILE in IB. Ridiculous Bungie, utterly ridiculous.

That and ya know, the only rewards win or loose should be iron banner gear or weapons. Should be no reason I play and get nothing but shards and glimmer ever

2 RepliesArmour drops feel intentionally broken. Or drops in general. Win a match? Get some shards. Lose a match? Get nothing. I need just the arms for my warlock to complete all 3 sets and out of 20 armour drops I’ve had zero arms.

4 RepliesYou should get a few IB engrams when ranking up. Do not focus them, take them to the crypto bro instead, chances are better to get missing armour pieces this way.

I have completed the IB armor for my warlock and I am missing one piece each for Titan and Hunter. I have played 3 days, got 2 resets in during this time and I lost the will to go on. You took it too far, Bungie. There should be some form of bad luck protection at least for the armor. We are talking about transmogging here, not some super overpowered weapon or armor piece. The worst thing is: I lost the fun in PVP in general and IB in specific. Never thought that could happen.

Seriously I shouldn't almost be rank 16 just looking for a Warlock Bond. It's a Bond it doesn't even have stats! I don't want anyother Blowout. Why doesn't IB gear drop during IB matches? Instead we get a stupid RL no one wants...?

2 RepliesIt shouldn't take ~120 matches to get full armour sets and a new shader. For a weekly event twice per season, Bungie really got this one wrong. From abysmal rep gains to lack of event loot, this is the worst IB yet. Old and reskinned weapons with low drop rates is not how to keep player engagement. No wonder there are so many people loss farming instead of enjoying their time in banner.

Honestly I think we should have a hybrid of what we have now and what we used to have. Keep the weapons as they are now as we rank up rewards, and give us back the easy quests we used to have that gave us a piece of armor at each step. I think just this alone would go a long way to improve the mess we're currently in. Not to mention this would keep the PvE folks who just want the armor so they can turn them into ornaments from not having to grind an activity they don't like/hate. Along with the fact that the pvp peeps would have the armor unlocked so they could focus it if they wanted. On top of this IB loot just needs a significant increase in drop rates in general. I think I was maybe 1 IB related loot every 5 or 6 games but the stupid rocket launcher just about every single game.

We’ll here about how good the population for IB was in a twab down the road. But they don’t mention the terrible drop rates or the fact that they removed qp during IB. I only reset once and still didn’t get the chest piece on my Titan. I couldn’t bring myself to play anymore. I stopped playing pvp for a while (except placement matches) and after this I don’t see any reason to start again. Making something so grindy with rng that players actually end up hating the game mode isn’t a good development model.

1 ReplyI keep getting nothing but the arms and legs for my Warlock. Near to full sets on my Hunter and Titan. And a million Blowouts and other Crucible weapons. Iron Banner should only drop IB gear. It's just dumb to dilute the pool with run of the mill Crucible stuff. Add in that this week was double Vanguard instead of Crucible is just a kick in the teeth.

1 ReplyI got all the Trials armour and weapons playing freelance trials (very badly) far quicker than Iron Bubble, where after reaching legend for the 2nd time I am still missing armour pieces for each character.

1 ReplyI normally play everyday but it’s just not worth it anymore. I’m missing one piece to every set. I don’t even have the drive to get them. Between the reps and being forced to play void or stasis it’s a whole mess. Rather just not play the game all together.

2 RepliesNot a crucible player and haven't played IB in several seasons but I jump back in since it's SBMM and I'm only getting boots from the other Pinnacle drops. Ive played about 20 matches in the last two days and I'm level 11 which seems like a slog. In the 20 matches ive only had 1 or 2 mercies and most matches go right down to the end, I only play warlock and I received all the armor pieces in the first 7 matches.

Better yet, decrease the mercy rule so matches are less than 5 minutes. No one wants to play trashy crucible, they just want the gear.

Seriously. They should either guarantee armor drops until you have the full set or let us focus the iron engram on armor even is we haven't unlocked it yet. Other activities are pretty bad as well on armor drops. I played IB for one week of Haunted, both weeks of Plunder, and going to finish my last two chars today for this week. I reset crucible once in Haunted, twice in Plunder and saved all my rank up packages to get the armor sets for my Titan and Warlock and I'm still missing a few pieces even after turning in so many packages. That doesn't even count the fact that I rarely see armor drops from activity completions, even with the ghost mod. It's usually just makes it drop two of whatever the weapon is for the season.

1 ReplyAnd this what drives people to loss farm. We love the game, but if the time put in doesn’t match the rewards coming out, people will find ways to get round it. Poor game and loot drop design once again by the constant missing of the mark pvp team.

Same 50+ matches working on 2nd reset and still can't get the darn hunter cloak to drop for me, smh. It's super annoying to farm a game mode wasting time grinding for nothing.
