I never did play D1, but SRL sounds like it would be exciting, I'd be concerned over content creators pushing out the optimal route and sparrow per-map unless Bungie plans ahead to put enough RNG and variation into each map through obstacles or perhaps powerups to keep it interesting.
Horns please, doesn't need to be gameplay related, just beep beep.

Indeed, we all could use some more beepbeep in our lives. Someone on the DestinytheGame Reddit also mentioned Customizable Sparrow exhaust trails which would be very awesome.

I want one that looks like the trail of a TRON bike. It would be sweet. It would also need to be shaderable.
