Vender bounties should count towards rank xp
So I dislike playing the game modes, I mostly play them either when the season just started for the pinnacle gear or the bounties for the blight dust reward each week, but I'm mostly talking about strikes, cause the randoms you get either wipe everything off the face of existence or speed run it and it's over in a minute, and I only want to complete my dang bounties, and it sucks cause I do bounty after bounty and the rank doesn't get affected by completing them, like it's all tied to the game mode anyway, why don't you just give them the ability to give you rank xp, banshee-44 bounties do?

I miss d1 venders. D2 tower feels so empty with out the factions, the speaker, etc.

I’d love for Gambit bounties to award reputation, as they did in the past; but I do think there’s little-to-no chance of Bungie allowing that again. Previously, when bounties awarded reputation, players like me would horde Gambit bounties until double XP weeks, then hand them all in, gaining well over 1000 XP and thus skipping the need to play-to-win in order to reset. And now, given the current meta of ‘the only thing of importance is player count’ I very much doubt Bungie would re-apply methods of decreasing your playtime.

All they need to do besides adding rep to bounty rewards is to fix the issue of others players just zooming through strikes(I do it I won't lie) is to do what Trials bounties do and grant a small amount of progress if one of your teammates does what the bounty says. So if you need 5 finisher kills, it would complete by itself if your teammates do 10-20 finishers. For specific kills with weapons and elements just let assists grant progress as well.
