I joined to serve, I didn't have anything else I wanted to do beyond the service to my country. Family and friends kept trying to talk down to me saying I couldn't do it or crap like that, I proved all their dumb-butts wrong. I did it simply because I can, and nobody was going to stop me. I didn't do it for college, I don't give a crap about college, besides, trades are more of a guaranteed job these days. I could use benefits but I didn't get disabled and I am not applying for free money I didn't earn from my own two hands. I don't need a free house loan as I will likely never settle in any one place.
