Pg 157
G: Do you just feel no remorse?
V: For what, do you ask, if I am remorseful? Variks has—
G: For putting my guardian in this position, Variks. Playing dumb won’t work on me, so don’t even try it.
V: …Shadow is more than capable of making her own choices. You cannot control her.
G: Nor can you.
V: I do not seek to.
[silence]
G: I tried to support this Variks, I did; I’m still trying. But you make it so difficult! Do you expect me to just forget everything you’ve done?! To act like you didn’t get Cayde killed? He was her mentor, her friend.
V: I am sorry about Cayde… I never meant for—
G: But you did. You chose that path. And now my guardian is paying for it. Do you have any idea what she went through for you? Constant ridicule, she was an outcast in her own home.
V: I am no stranger to such a thing. Is this not why she found a home with me?
G: You’re not a home. You’re not safe for her.
V: I never promised her safety. You have always claimed I took her away, yet she was not happy with them. She sought me out.
G: Right, she’s happier on this traveler-forsaken frozen moon, wanted by the city and the awoken, and being treated like utter sh*t for your sake. Now your “Kell” communes with darkness? You’re leading my guardian straight into the ground.
V: I am trying to do what is right for my people. She wishes to help me, I cannot say no... This is a conversation you should have with her, not I.
G: You think I haven’t already tried? Variks, Shadow should be protecting her people right now! Not yours!
V: Shadow loves my people just as she loves her own. You seek to chain her down to a single system... But my Shadow is a woman of many stars.
G: ….She thinks you’re really something.
[silence]
G: I don’t see it.

It’s heartwarming seeing a ghost try to protect his guardian in such a parental manner. I wish Bungie let us see ghosts voicing their own opinions more often.
