Verbs Didn't Standardize Anything.

We were sold this overarching revamp of the gameplay mechanics with subclass 3.0. Wipe the slate clean and start from the top so the effects of our subclasses, weapons, and armor have more defined rules that actually made sense. Instead, subclass 3.0 doubled the amount of rules and halved the amount of sense they made. An example. Void Overshield is an effect that all classes can have applied (Either from Repulsor Brace or a Sentinel Titan applying it to themselves or to teammates through their abilities and exotics). Mk.44 Stand-Asides is a Titan exotic that gives you an Overshield after sprinting when your Shoulder Charge ability variants are charged. This is not a Void Overshield. This does not benefit Sentinel's aspect that gains effects from Void Overshields. This Overrides existing Void Overshields. Oh, and also any Healing Rift can give an Overshield. And Whisper of Rime. And Eternal Warrior. And Juggernaut. And Star-Eater Scales. And Precious Scars. And reviving a teammate. None of these interact with each other. None of them follow the same rules. We have Scorch from Solar subclass effects and the Incandescent perk, and we have generic Burn from Polaris Lance, Prospector, etc. We have various tiers of Weakening that are never explained in-game and left to generous info-gatherers like Court to figure out. We have Radiant, and we have generic damage boosts. We have healing effects, like flat HP heals, regeneration pops, or constant healing, and then we have Restoration. There's probably many more examples but this only goes to show that the 3.0 subclasses did nothing in terms of streamlining and better qualifying gameplay mechanics and how they worked together, and instead just doubled the list of different effects. You dropped the ball. You failed in your own stated desire for what the subclass reworks would accomplish, and then you had the gall to say "We don't feel the need to update the rest of the game to match the subclass reworks." This probably isn't the most immediate issue the game has, probably not even the top 10. I simply think it needs addressing, along with everything else. Just another clear issue to be argued over by forum posters and ignored by you.

 • Pair that with Bungie not understanding a single classes identity and you’ve got quite a poor situation for 3.0 classes. Titans being grenade spamming classes I think is the biggest joke of ‘identity’ in the last 7 years of this games run time.
