Regarding the div nerf, power creep, and the drama
Look, this makes every debuff (I think) equal. That means there are so so many more strats you could use. I’m personally sick of this one obscure way that only works here being the only way of doing so many encounters. It also hopefully will make it so newer players don’t get bullied for not having the highest dps on the fireteam a little further down the line (or now). This is just like anarchy, recluse, mountain top, etc. they become the only viable weapons and bungie wants to have the other stuff in the game (in this case tractor canon and tether) be given some love. What could they do.
1. Buff the other stuff and therefore make everything viable while also pissing off a bunch of the community.
2. Nerf said thing therefore make everything viable while also pissing off a bunch of the community.
Power creep makes it so that this cycle will always happen. Get used to it. Unless you want them to essentially rework the entire game or stop making new stuff or making said new stuff better. They could also basically reskin some old stuff if you would rather.
Bungie also said they made this choice before all the drama over nerfing div. So don’t be like “they knew that most of the community wouldn’t like that. Why on earth would they do that”.
Anyway that’s my 2 cents that everyone who needs to hear this will ignore and/or flame to kingdom come.
