Honestly competitive PvP is not fun. To fix this, Bungie can change some of the competitive game modes. For survival, they can take away the life advantage and input a sudden death where everyone loses their lives. For trials, they can make freelance a permanent game mode. Some people do not have friends they can pair with and new players are sometimes scared of the companion app. They should also disable Supers in trials, people camping in bubbles or wells are annoying and takes out the fun of PvP. For Iron Banner, people should have a choice between spark and control. This is purely my opinion and let me know if their are changes that you desire.

If you remove supers, you unfairly weight gameplay in favor of the classes with the best neutral games. Freelance Trials judges requires a different skillset than team Trials. Freelance can be more common, but it shouldn't be active all the time. Team coordination and communication are important gauges of skill, and the game mode that rewards skill shouldn't disregard them. What do you mean by "Sudden death"? If my team is winning with 4 lives remaining versus 0, shouldn't my team have an advantage when the timer runs out? I don't think splitting up the playerbase in IB is a good idea, especially when the modes have vastly different popularity.
