Exotic Archive Legacy Section could use a warning about sunset items
Destiny 2 could do with some UI improvements that help players (especially newbies) from sabotaging themselves. One such thing is the legacy section in the exotic archive. The section has some really cool guns, but there's too little explanation of what sunsetting is and why a newbie shouldn't get that sort of item if they're looking for a new tool for Vanguard.
It's a very simple fix too, the first time you open the legacy section, a popup could explain what sunsetting is and that they cannot be infused to higher power if they have [white triangle] icon at the top left.
That's the main post, adding some reasoning here to keep the main post brief:
Currently, the game only implies sunsetting when mousing over the power level when inspecting an item. Even then, the "current power" is often already over the "power limit". "Python" for example has this tooltip: https://i.imgur.com/IsRTSWY.png
This is inconsistent and implies the weapon can somehow overcome its limit. Listing the "seasonal power cap" is further confusing, since it's not even relevant if the gun cannot be infused at all.
"But it says 'legacy item', that's clear enough right?" I can hear some think. The entire section is called legacy gear, that's part of the issue. The Chain of Command is in the legacy gear section and I gladly paid an ascendant shard to have a MG with adaptive munitions on it. Hell, Point of the Stag is the only outlier in the crucible weapon section that you can infuse. It's too inconsistent.
