Game keeps hard crashing during second Control match of each game session, no error code, at least 2 quitter penalties so far
Platform: Steam
PC Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
RAM: 32GB GSkill Trident Z Neo 3600mhz
GPU: MSI Reference-style RX6800
Motherboard: ROG Strix X570i
PSU: Corsair SF750
Graphics Driver: 22.10.1
Windows Version: Windows 10 Home 21H1
ISP: Verizon Fios, 500mbps up and down, wired connection, ports open for Steam and Destiny 2 specifically (have been playing with Open NAT type)
Issue started last night (before the most recent hotfix). Would log on, play one Control match to completion, start a second match, and watch the game hard crash. Logged back in, no error code message, received quitter penalty warning, tried to play again. Same pattern, received quitter penalty when I logged in a third time, decided to call it for the night.
Tried again this afternoon. Played one match to completion, no issues. Started a second match, game crashed. Logged back in, no error code, given second quitter penalty. Took a step back, updated graphics drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the game via Steam, tried again. Hopped into Cosmodrome patrol to test the waters and give the graphics drivers time to rebuild the shader cache (game is usually a bit stuttery for the first few activities after a graphics driver update). No issues.
Played one Control match to completion, started the second, crashed early in the second match. Have not tried logging in since then, certain I'll receive another quitter penalty when I do.
The only variable I could think of was attempting to undervolt the CPU within the BIOS (following guides specific to my CPU and motherboard) last night, but the issue persisted even after reverting to default settings. GPU has been running a consistent undervolt and mild overclock for months without issue.
