A little backstory… my son has finally gotten to an age where we can enjoy playing Destiny 2 together. We enjoy it, and it’s pretty awesome having a semi-consistent fireteam member that I can communicate with. We’re not on Grandmaster’s or anything yet, but we’ll get there.
What I have found most frustrating is getting mods for him to make builds. The system has got to change… make them random drops or something from strikes, anything is better than praying that ADA-1 can hook you up. Mods make you feel strong and give you such an advantage, I’m sure he’s not the only New Light feeling this struggle… here’s to hoping for some change!
Edit: This really blew up overnight, thank you all for the support. I see many of your view points and being a player since Destiny 1, I totally understand feeling like you have to earn your keep in the game. That being said, I also think mods have REALLY become such a large part of the game that there needs to be something more in place. I will continue to read through comments for your suggestions and hope there can be some change… after all it would be for the kids, right Bungie? ;)
Edit 2: Idea that came about through reading… what if we did a “Three of Coins” situation like in D1, but instead of getting an exotic at the end of of playlist activities, it was mods? I think that’s totally doable.
