If you don’t have time to teach one person simple raid mechanics, just say so, no need to kick like a hypocrite. Just say « look, I’m in a hurry to get this raid done, we don’t have time to teach » and then you kick, it’s just more polite and civilized. If your parents never taught you, it’s one way to make this world a better place.
If you want context, I’m in an lfg group, some guy lags out, we’re 5. At that moment a friend asks me if he can join, I ask the group, they say ok. When he joins(totems) they start the encounter and I see this guy’s never done it before. I try to explain on the fly, but it doesn’t work, we wipe ONCE. Kick. Just say “sorry we don’t have time, we’re in a hurry”, I’ll back out no problem. If I don’t leave, kick me, I’m an idiot. But please, we aren’t barbarians, let us me civilized.

Yeah 100% your fault for bringing someone who didnt know what to do. This is like recommending a friend for a job they are unqualified for and then getting upset when that gets them fired.
