The problem for me isn’t that the grind and rng is daunting. It’s that once you’ve invested so much, Bungie feels no remorse for destroying all that effort with nerfs soon thereafter. This painful lesson was learned in D1. I learned a long time ago that, for me, I’m only interested in the gun/gear that drop as a consequence of engaging with the activities I enjoy. I stopped trying to get the hard to get stuff. Though I was real temped to pay to get a Not Forgotten. I would have if I’d known it would remain meta for as long as it did.
