I have been sitting here for 5 hours trying to clear Caiatl for the Solo triumph. I have use every method in the book. I am so beyond frustrated, I am genuinely considering an uninstall. There is too much goin on in the final boss room for you to even think. I am dying to every single, physics based move in this -blam!- dungeon. From the slowing effects of the Colossus, to the knock back of the bellkeepers. I can’t even keep my feet planted to the -blam!- ground to get a second damage phase in.

This is a classic case of git gud -
Until they fix the bugs that just wipe you, it’s a waste of time.
-
Less Adds Less Ammo, More time spent killing the boss.

I would like to state I didn’t say -blam!- about ads being a problem. Matter of fact, I haven’t died once to direct damage. Sunspot Titan is clearly the way to go. I just keep getting flung off the -blam!- map. By bellkeepers, by the Colossus Slow Rockets, Caiatls stomp, also just random wipes due to that -blam!- bell bug. It is beyond infuriating, also all of you “got gud” gaymers. Gargle my balls.

1 ReplyTwo words: Lorley's Splendor. Get back to it, Guardian.

If you’re having trouble, I would definitely recommend using a sunbreaker Titan with healing grenade and the throwing hammer. With sol invictus and roaring flames, you’ll set the entire room ablaze and you can one-hit the bell keepers with roaring flames x3!

2 RepliesBungie thinks difficulty is throwing players off the map.

you should get good at that part of the content,

Just don't suck

Judging from your current loadout, if that is what you're using, you're going to struggle. Your fragments are unable to refresh your restoration timer granted from your sunspots making you more vulnerable. For weapons, I'd probably go with a Null Composure for ease of use instead of a shotgun, 'cause Reservoir Bursting Bellkeepers will disintegrate both them and the backpack. This makes it safer for when the boss stomps. The Lament is fine to use, and make sure you use it when you get booped or you just need to kill things quickly. Don't get greedy with your heavy weapon, use it to save the run or to kill bellkeepers quickly. As for a primary, I think SMGs are the best since they're not Autos lol.

Keep practicing. Eventually you’ll get it.

No that would take solo flawless to the easiest its ever been. Its meant to be a challenge.
-
No, I need those red bars for ammo
-
Get good brother The main rule of soloing content: suck it up. You're doing it to bolster your ego, finish it the way it is or don't complain
-
3 RepliesNah I had solo flawless done 2 days after the dungeon came out its not that bad.
-
Unfortunately a skill issue
-
In D1 it used to scale. Meaning I was stuck with two friends on a mission (Phobos Taken King Mission). But when one of them left, the encounter became noticeably easier. Just like Witch Queen Legendary Missions scaling to get harder the more people doing em but this was a hidden intrinsic mechanic in Destiny 1 Taken King days. Duality should do the same for solo players. Make the ads slightly easier to kill cause there is so many ads you can't even keep up with them with 3 people shooting em. Reduce that to 1 person and it isn't "difficult" it's rediculous.

Bump, this is why I won’t solo it. Dungeons should have consideration for the number of players.

Edited by Dredgen Hatter-3: 9/27/2022 12:50:35 AMWhat? No. You've made it to this point. You can do it!

Edited by Hawpy: 9/26/2022 11:34:47 PM- Fusion Rifles are great for dealing with Bellkeepers, as you can stay out of knockback range and also ensure that their backpacks don't drop on death, as they disintegrate instead. - on your chest armour, make sure to use two of the double resist mods from the seasonal artefact, as most damage in there is Arc and Solar - Lament is the safest option for boss damage, due to the passive healing on hit; the damage is also respectable, can secure a kill in 3-4 phases. It also helps to circumvent knockback, as you can swing to stop your backwards momentum. Hope these tips help!

I’d say you’re doing great! You’ve made it to the boss fight solo.. nice work!! You’ll get it! Keep your head up and persevere! Eyes up:).

If you’re having trouble staying alive between damage phases you may need to switch up your build and tactics to something that prioritizes survivability over DPS potential. Rat King with Catalyst gives you a source of both Healing and Invisibility in exchange for simply killing an enemy and reloading. This allows you to immediately regain some health after taking a pounding and move between important targets without taking constant chip damage from enemy fire. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

9 RepliesIt wasn’t meant for soloing. It was designed for three guardians, not one.
nibbles crayon
